The Coat and Fry name has been in existence since 1970 and has always been associated with the specialised design and manufacture of continuous (conveyorised) frying equipment

The common theme of frying as a cooking process took the company into other sectors of the Food Industry, the most notable being that of the final processing of pelletised half-products in the Snack Food Industry.

Although several large installations have been supplied, it is the small and medium sized operations with which the company is mainly related.

The smaller installations have provided the first steps for many small companies as well as product development and pre-production facilities for the larger companies' R&D development, and the medium sized plants have provided the substantial production units of popular ranges.
